Documents Requirement
- Valid Indian passport (6+ months validity)
- Scanned copy of first and last page of your Passport
- Return flight ticket
- Hotel/accommodation booking
- Proof of sufficient funds
- Active email address for ETA confirmation
- Confirmed return air ticket
- Validity of your passport should be at least 6 months beyond your stay period in Sri Lanka and have minimum 3 blank pages
Application steps
- Visit eta.gov.lk (official Sri Lanka ETA portal)
- Fill in passport and travel details
- Pay $20 via credit/debit card
- Receive ETA approval by email (usually within minutes)
- Print or save ETA on phone
- Present at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo
Travel Tip
- Sri Lanka's ETA is almost instant and very affordable. Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Kandy Temple of the Tooth, Galle Fort, Yala National Park, and Ella are bucket-list stops. Can be extended to 90 days at the Department of Immigration in Colombo.
